“For all that you give”, 4th Edition of the Volunteering Festival

“For all that you give”, 4th Edition of the Volunteering Festival

Organised together with the Chair of Childhood and Adolescence of the Universitat Politècnica de València, this celebration aims to be a tribute to all those people who selflessly dedicate their time and effort to the people who need it most.

On this occasion it was held in the Puerta Ferrisa Auditorium in Alicante. The event began with a round table of authorities and organisers. We counted with the presence of Pilar Sol (Head of Immigration, Cooperation and Volunteering Services of the Department of Public Rights) Gorka Chazarra (President of the Conciénciate Foundation, Co-Director of the Polo Club Chair of Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability of the Miguel Hernández University and Representative in Alicante of the Volunteering Platform of the Valencian Community) Vicente Cabedo (Director of the Chair of Childhood and Adolescence of the Polytechnic University of Valencia) Chimo Lleó (Director of the Social Initiative in Education and Family Foundation)

After this table, the tribute to two volunteers for their great work in their areas of intervention began. Mary Jane de los Santos, from Fundación Iniciativa Social and Vanesa Mora from Asociación INPAVI. They shared their experience through volunteering and how it has transformed their lives and the lives of the people they treat. They were presented with a plaque in appreciation of their work.

Finally, we had the intervention of ‘LaRanaGaspar’ Gaspar González, motivator and generator of optimism, humanity, leadership, confidence… who thanked the volunteers for their great work, while encouraging them to continue with this important work for society, with a dynamic and different session.

Belén Devesa put the finishing touch to the event with a live performance of two songs that were enjoyed by all those present.

We rounded off the event with a cocktail party for all the attendees, where we exchanged experiences and closed the event with laughter and joy.
